Open Call Passage Artist Residency

Kultur- und Kunstverein Kemberg e.V. is organising the Passage AiR programme with two residencies that will held in the Dübener Heide – Düben Heath Nature Park – in Germany in November 2021.

For the first two residencies of the programme the Kultur- und Kunstverein Kemberg e.V. is looking for applications from national and international artists from the fields of photography and film. Both residencies will take place in November 2021. Selected artists' costs for accommodation in the Dübener Heide for the duration of the stay, travel costs for arrival and departure up to a maximum of 300,00 EUR as well as one-time grant in the amount of 1000,00 EUR will be covered by the organisers. The Kultur- und Kunstverein Kemberg e.V. and Jan Stradtmann will support the artists on site with research, mediation and organisational and content-related questions.

With it's topic “Status Landscape” the residencies are intended to enable an examination of the current situation of landscape and environment using the
example of the Dübener Heide. The “Passage” AiR programme sees itself as a space that wants to give artists access to the region of the Dübener Heide. Since the organisers would especially like to promote exchange between children and young people and established artists, it is desired that selected artists will implement a workshop or excursion for young people. It is also planned to hold an exhibition after the end of the residencies in 2023, showing the results of the residencies.

Applications should be submitted before the deadline of 30 August. The selected artists will be informed by 14 September. More information can be found here.

The Kultur- und Kunstverein Kemberg e.V. (Kemberg Culture and Art Association), founded in 1995, sees its main focus in the investigation and communication of the history of the town of Kemberg and its districts.
