Open Call Post Social Media Club

Post Social Media Club invites young European creatives for a programme to investigate and speculate on alternative futures. The programme also offers artists and designers an interdisciplinary journey into understanding the mark that social media has left on the world and to imagine the post-social media landscape.

Post Social Media Club invites 25 European creatives of mixed disciplines from Sweden, Greece, Serbia, France and Turkey to participate in a series of expert-led design masterclasses, engage in a weeklong production-based artist residency and finally host five simultaneous exhibitions across Europe showcasing alternative futures.

Selected participants will get an access to The Vortex (four-part expert-led virtual masterclass series on the topics of Speculative Design, Design Thinking and the Future of Community Online) and a participation in The Showcase (final group exhibition that will be held in five cities accross Europe). The organisers will pay for the travel costs, accomodation, material and equipment during The Lab in Malmö, Sweden.

Applicants need to be between the ages of 18-30 and to be based in either France, Greece, Serbia, Sweden or Turkey. As the program will be held in English, participants should speak English fluently. The virtual masterclasses Vortex will take place on 29 May, 5 June, 12 June, 19 June, the weeklong artist residency The Lab between 15-21 August and the local exhibitions produced by the participants on 17 September 17 in Athens, Belgrade, Istanbul, Malmö and Paris.

The application phase ends on 26 April. More information can be found here.

Post Social Media Club is run by five members of the European Creative Hubs Network : a peer-led network with a mission to enhance the creative, economic and social impact of hubs around Europe and neighboring countries.
