The Gamecity Hamburg Prototype Funding supports developers and game studios to create a prototype for digital games. Applications should be submitted until 11 April. The application phase for the second funding round will run from 29 August to 4 October 2022.
The non-repayable funds will be granted with a maximum of 120,000 euros and a maximum of 80 percent of the eligible costs. This maximum amount can only be granted for projects that plan to combine the Prototype Funding with a second public funding scheme, like the German federal games funding (Bundesförderung) or a EU funding.
A consultation appointment with Gamecity Hamburg is mandatory before application. Information such as hsort project outline (max. half a page of text or a slide), aimed funding amount for the project / planned proof of personal contribution and concrete questions regarding the application/funding of the project have to be available at least one day before the consultation.
Developers, teams or SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) that are already based in Hamburg, will relocate to Hamburg when they receive funding, or will open a branch office in Hamburg can apply.
