Open Call Loore Residencies

The Estonian Creative Residencies Network LOORE has launched a residency programme for Ukrainian artists, writers, curators, critics and musicians. The program is funded by the Nordic Culture Point.

The program includes 8 different 2-month residencies and a 1-month residency extension opportunity. Members of the LOORE network will host the residencies. These are:

  • TARTU ARTISTS' UNION (open to everybody but preference is given to artists with accompanying family members)
  • ARVO PÄRT CENTER (for creative professionals)
  • MASSIA (for individuals who seek to research and motorize either their own artistic and/or knowledge production)
  • MAAJAAM
  • KAI RESIDENCY (international visual artists, curators, writers and other contemporary art professionals)
  • COPPER LEG ART RESIDENCY (for professional artists in the fields of performing art, sound-art or experimental music)
  • TYPA (for artists who wish to explore print, paper and bookmaking)
  • ESTONIAN LITERARY SOCIETY (open to writers of all genres who have at least one published book, screenplay or theatre script

Selected artists will receive 1500€ scholarship, a 600€ materials budget and a transport allowance. Each applicant can apply for a maximum of 2 residency programs.Applications can be submitted until 14 April. Find more information here.

LOORE  was created in response to the expressed need for better representation and collaboration between artist residency organisations across Estonia with the goal of supporting the mobility of creative people and representing the interests of residency hosts; increasing capacity and influence, and value.
