The Künstlerhaus Lauenburg (“Artists' House”) is providing a 4-month residency fellowships in the fields of visual arts, literature and composition for professional international artists, authors and composers of any age and nationality.
The residency offers talented young artists from all over the world the opportunity to complete new projects in an undisturbed working environment and to present them to an interested public. Within the framework of its regular fellowship program, the Künstlerhaus offers a stimulating working environment in which artists, authors and composers can pursue their artistic work far away from the (art) market. During their stay at the Künstlerhaus, the residents are expected to participate in and create various events (exhibition, reading, premiere…).
Professional German and international artists, authors and composers of any age, nationality or place of residence are welcome to apply until 31 October. The period of stay for the scholarship holders at the Künstlerhaus Lauenburg is 4 months from mid-May to mid-September 2023. The selected applicants will receive a monthly grant of 1000 EUR for the duration of the fellowship. The residence fellowship includes free use of the flat and studio.
Since 2022, Künstlerhaus Lauenburg awards a working fellowship without residency requirement to applicants with children who have their permanent residence in Germany. Artists in the fields of composition, literature and visual arts can apply for the working scholarship without age restriction. More information about both Open Call can be found here.
