The cultural complex SODAS 2123 has launched an artist-in-residence programme for artists, curators, designers, architects, researchers and other creators. Selected residents will become part of the SODAS 2123 community.
The residents are welcome to initiate event-based programmes, participate in open studios, present the results of their residency in various forms and become part of the SODAS 2123 community’s events. The organisers expect residents to work and develop their artistic projects individually with the support of the SODAS 2123 team.
SODAS 2123 offers over 50 artists’ studios, rehearsal studios for bands, offices for design, film and visual arts organisations, exhibition spaces, event spaces, various workshops, a café, a public outdoor garden space, a public allotment and more. The cultural complex also provides spaces for a variety of art and cultural disciplines, and each resident of the complex is open to sharing, learning and craftsmanship.
Applications can be submitted until 15 August. The selected artists will be announced in the end August 2023. More information can be found here.
SODAS 2123 is a self-governing community-based space, operated and curated by the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association (LTMKS). It brings together creators and researchers from different fields, with practices based on experimentation and developing unexpected formats.
