Open Call Summer Academy

The Summer Academy on Cultural and Creative Industries and Local Development provides capacity building for policy makers and representatives of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) at the local, regional, national and international level.

At the end of the course participants will acquire a deeper understanding of the sector, its needs and dynamics and will develop expertise in putting in place effective and integrated strategies and policy frameworks to uncap the full potential of CCIs as drivers for local economic growth, job creation and inclusion.‌

The Summer Academy (SACCI) aims to Stimulate sharing of knowledge and experience among participants, experts and professionals from several fields related to CCIs, analyse the process of culture-driven social-economic innovation and the role of CCIs as well as to promote online and offline social networks among participants in order to exchange knowledge, practical experiences and work methodologies. SACCI 2021 will also investigate good practices, and highlight evidence showing how CCIs, when properly valued and supported, could be the key to unlock a sustainable recovery and to achieve the objectives set by the Agenda 2030.

National and international policy makers and practitioners active in the promotion of and support to creative cultural sectors at the local, regional, national and international level, as well as cultural and creative entrepreneurs are welcome to apply until 31 July. SACCI will take place on 27-30 September 2021.
