The Supporting Act Foundation has launched two programs for 2023—Creative Bursaries and Impact Grants with running Open Calls.
The Creative Bursaries are aimed at final-year undergraduate students from marginalized communities, who have practices focused on social change and are experiencing financial hardship. The bursary can be used for tuition fees, living costs, materials, or any other educational costs.
The Impact Grants are designed for artist-led organizations with strong community-driven approaches towards using arts for social change, particularly those offering support to emerging artists from under-represented communities. The six grants of each €50,000 over two years can be used for operating costs or any costs critical to success.
In the interests of both inclusivity and transparency, the selection process will be handled by independent juries, each one including a couple of last year’s grantees. Applications can be submitted until 18 September, applicants need to be based in the Netherlands, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Spain, or Italy. Find more information here.
The Supporting Act Foundation was established by WeTransfer in 2021, and marks the most recent endeavor by the company to give back to its global creative community.
