Tomelilla art exhibition hall is one of the most famous art exhibition halls in Skåne, Sweden. The ambition is for visitors to meet different art forms, styles, techniques and expressions. Both contemporary and traditional art are exhibited.
The exhibition hall has a residency program that will happen bi-annually and run for 4-6 weeks. The aim from the organizers is a collaboration between the artist and locals, residents as well as local artists. Applications can be submitted until 30 April. Workshops, Lectures and public participation are activities the artist should be able to offer at the time of the stay.The artist should be open to interacting with residents and local art. The organizers want to create an opportunity for artistic exchange and a creative meeting place.
The program reaches out to international artists, who work in the areas of Sculpture, painting, performance, installation, video and textile. The organisators are looking for artists who are interested in the social process of creating art. The residency is open for artists who are active in the professional artscene and aim to work in connection with the geographical location. The artits should be established well and should have documented experience in the international art scene.
