Open Call UmArts Research Residency

Interdisciplinary artist researchers at any career stage are encouraged to apply for the UmArts residency in Umeå, Sweden.

In two possible time periods, either 15 August to 31 September 2024 or 15 January to 28 February 2025, artists can create short-term projects and thus be a part of the UmArts research environment.

The two selected ‚Artist Researchers in Residence‘ or entities win a grant of 42000 SEK (~ 3800 EUR) for personal costs and of course the amazing chance to share their research and connect to possible future collaborators. They either take part in the UmArts ARIR or the TAIGA ARIR programme, of which the latter sets the focus on the interdependency between art and AI.
