Open Call Vilnius Queer Festival Kreivės

Vilnius Queer Festival Kreivės is a cultural and social initiative that aims to be a unique space for film screenings, events and community building by building on earlier and cooperating with current other queer initiatives.

The vision of the festival is a community which acknowledges and passionately supports variety in LGBTQI expressions and viewpoints. The organisers are looking for feature films, documentaries and short films focusing on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex themes. Films can be submitted in the categories of short competition, short regular, and feature (narrative or documentary). Entries selected for the competitive category will compete for the Jury Award for Best Short Film, and the winner will receive a cash prize of €200. All films screened at “Kreivės” will also be eligible for the Audience Choice Award.

“Kreivės” 2023 will take place in Vilnius on 6–10 September. Applications can be submitted until 11 June. Find more information here.

The festival is organised by the space for social activism In Corpore in cooperation with the social centre Emma in Kaunas, other organisations, individual activists and artists. Kreivės is also a part of the išgirsti space.
