The ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival in Berlin is the largest international platform for poetry films worldwide. The organisers are looking for short films, based on poems of no more than 15 minutes duration, produced in or after 2022.
Since 2002, the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival has offered poets, film-makers and festival-makers from all over the world a space for creative exchange, for finding ideas and for meeting a broad audience. With a competition, film programmes, readings by poets, retrospectives, exhibitions, performances, workshops, colloquia, lectures and a children's programme, it presents the diversity of the genre of poetry film in various sections.
The Open Call for the next festival's edition on 12-15 October will be opened until 1 June, a program committee will select films for the International Competition and for all other festival programs. The winning films will be selected by a jury comprising international representatives from the worlds of poetry, film and media. The competition winners will be awarded prize money. All entrants will be informed by email by 1 September of the results of the selection viewing. Find more information about the Open Call here.
