Open Calls Creative Europe on Cooperation

The Creative Europe Programme encompasses a grant for cultural cross-border small- and medium-scale projects with their emphasis set either on innovation or transnational circulation. The funding contracts will be signed for up to 130 projects in October of 2024. A third open call sponsors platforms for the promotion of emerging artists with structured, sustainable and inclusive strategies.

Small-scale projects must be comprised of a minimum of three partnering entities from different Creative Europe countries. They can expect a grant of 200.000 EUR at most and the coverage of up to 80 % of the incurred project costs. Medium-scale projects, consisting of a consortium of at least five cultural actors of different nationalities, receive a maximum support of 1.000.000 EUR with a funding rate of no more than 70 %.

It is a prerequisite for all applications to highlight one or two cornerstones of the European Cooperation Projects: Dissemination of artistic work to broader audiences, social inclusion of marginalised or disabled individuals, digitalization and the use of AI in culture, international outreach even across the European borders and sustainable, environment-friendly practices. A sixth, annually changing priority is set to be the support of Ukrainian artists and cultural practitioners in 2024, striving for post-war recovery and continued cultural work in spite of the war of aggression.
