Oslo Internasjonale Teaterfestival | 11-21 March

Oslo Internasjonale Teaterfestival is an annual rendez-vous for performing arts in Oslo in March. This year's festival will take place online with a smaller program due to the pandemic situation. Evolving around the question “at present time, what do we need most?”, this year's edition is conceived together with various contributors and guest curators.

In recent months, the pandemic has affected cultural life in Norway and abroad. The organizers have moved all of the festival's events to the digital world - festival events will be live-streamed on Zoom, Facebook and YouTube on 11-21 March.

The festival program offers a wide range of events and performances as  the visitors may experience from their  own home, e.g. a digital screening of Audre Lorde – The Berlin Years 1984 to 1992 by Dagmar Schultz, a performance-lecture "Decolonizing the performing arts II: The gaze, colonialism and aesthetics" by Deise Nunes or a quiz on art, Norwegian cultural policy and mixed trivia by VJ Heiki from Berlin. The entire program can be found here or on Teaterfestival's Facebookpage.

Oslo Internasjonale Teaterfestival is titled “11 days of Live Art experiences” to emphasize that it is not only theater in its traditional sense being shown, but a range of live arts, online performances, seminars and talks.
