Youth, mental health and culture

The brainstorming report Youth, Mental Health and Culture by Voices of Cultureexplores how arts and culture support young people as they face the crises of our time.

In the runup to the report participants from 53 selected organisations and 23 countries from the fields of culture, health, education, and social services were invitied to brainstorm over two days in Brussels. The focus was on one of the most pressing issues of our time: Youth Mental Health. Questions such as "How can arts and culture address the multiple expressions of troubled young minds when facing the crises of our time?" were discussed by the participants.

The five chapters, eacht prepared by a thematic group, present an overview of successful projects that have been carried for, with, and through young people and which proved to contribute to stabilising their mental health. Significant long-term funding to support stakeholders and communities was detected as one of the factors that support success for Youth Mental Health Projects. Find the report here.
