On 6 February from 10:30 to 12 AM CET, the new Rural toolkit, a web-based guide displaying EU funding opportunities for rural European areas, will be demonstrated by the EU Science Hub in an online launch event.
This tool should be of interest for decision makers and institution representatives on the EU, regional and local level as well as businesses in rural areas. Two case studies and a live demo will illustrate the benefits of the toolkit and show how EU programmes can make rural regions thrive by supporting local initiatives, businesses or individuals.
The Rural toolkit is an initiative of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG Regio) and Joint Research Centre (JRC), in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI). It is part of the long-term vision for the EU’s rural areas.
