The contemporary circus company Sisus is looking for artistic companies (solo artists or groups), who are at the beginning of their careers for the mentor program "Sirius Issues" (6 months in 2023) with zoom sessions
Selected applicants will get artistic and productional mentoring by two artists and a producer: Inka Pehkonen (artist, Handstand, Washington Trapeze), Rosa Tyyskä (artist, Cyr Wheel) and Farina Berndt (Producer of Sisus). The mentors will give support in different subjects depending on the needs of the mentee(s) and share their knowledge from running an artistic company and productional expertise.
Artists or an artistic companies based in Europe and in the beginning of their career are welcome to apply with a text, in which the applicants outline why they apply for the program, what they would like to get out of the mentoring program and in which way Sisus should support them, a video link to the artistic work and the CV(s). Sisus was found by five women. Since 2014 Sisus have done several projects as a company, and premiered the first full length outdoor show Mosh Split in 2016. In 2022 Sisus premiered it's first indoor show 'Memoirs of Mud' and the short movie 'Toisin tein'. In 2023 Sisus will create a new outdoor show, called 'Dissimilis'.
