The Art of Staying Healthy

The project “The Art of Staying Healthy” aims to develop collaboration between the arts and health sectors and to pilot arts interventions on the health and well-being of people and communities in the Northern Dimension area. Project ideas can be submitted by 19 July.

The project “The Art of Staying Healthy” was launched by NDPC, in partnership with NDPHSEUNIC and Arts Promotion Centre Finland. The project was inspired by the recent WHO report which highlighted the important role of the arts sector in promoting good health, preventing mental and physical health challenges and supporting the treatment of acute and chronic conditions.

The organisers invite organisations to submit ideas that explore how arts and cultural activities can be integrated into the provision of health and social care services. The proposals should engage specific target groups, for example, vulnerable populations, different age groups or patient groups. Eligible applicants are registered entities, organisations (public, private, NGO's etc.) or individual entrepreneurs.

The successful applicants will be offered workshops and mentoring to develop their ideas and will receive a grant of up to 10 000 EUR to pilot the methodologies and implement project activities. The workshops aim to build the participants knowledge about the common themes of the health and arts sectors and to explore in more detail the challenges that the implementers of the selected projects face.

An online information event will be held on 2 June, the registration link can be found here.
