Turku Music Festival

Turku Music Festival is the oldest continuously operating music festival in Finland, this year's festival will take place between 7 and 18 August. Some events will be offered as a hybrid format.

The opening concert of the festival will take place on 7 August at 19.00 features music by Pēteris Vasks, performed by the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra. The opening concert is dedicated to the music of the Festival’s composer-in-residence, Pēteris Vasks from Latvia.

The recital by tenor Juan Diego Flórez and pianist Vincenzo Scalera at the Turku Music Festival scheduled for 18 June 2021 will be postponed to May 2022.

Two additional concerts of the Festival will take place in August. One of them, ‘Dichterliebe & Eight Songs for a Mad King’ on 14 August at 18.00, will be a hybrid event, available to attend in person or as a live stream online in the lippu.streaming service.
